111 Hospital Road

Highpoint provided land planing, civil engineering, land planning, permitting, and stormwater management services to develop the Commonwealth Fusion Systems Campus Master Plan located at 111/117 Hospital Road in Devens, Massachusetts. The Master Plan laid the framework for construction of hte first building, a 164,000 gsf advanced manufacturing facility within the Commonwealth Fusion Systems campus.

Highpoint’s services included planning, site design, grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, parking and access improvements, and coordination of the Level 2 Unified Permit Submission with the Devens Enterprise Commission. The site design established the overall campus access and utility network including roadways, water supply, sanitary sewer, gas, electrical, and telecommunications services. For 111 Hospial Road, design services included driveways, vehicular parking, sidewalks, accessible routes, landscaping, and site lighting.

A comprehensive stormwater management system was designed to support the manufacturing facility and mitigate impacts from new impervious area. The system included deep sump hooded catch basins, proprietary water quality units, bioretention areas, and multiple underground infiltration systems designed to provide water quality treatment and fully infiltrate runoff volume up to the 100-year storm event.
