Highpoint provided civil engineering, site planning, and permitting support for site modifications at Amazon’s BOS7 fulfillment center at 1180 Innovation Way in Fall River and Freetown, Massachusetts. The project involved reconfiguring portions of the existing 1.02 million square foot distribution facility to support expanded trailer storage operations while maintaining the existing building and primary site circulation. Improvements included converting the East Lot from vehicle parking to a secured 59 space trailer storage area and constructing a 64 space trailer storage area within the South Lot, which had previously been planned for passenger vehicle parking. Highpoint’s work included layout, grading, drainage, utility coordination, erosion and sediment control, landscape plans, and permit support for review by both Fall River and Freetown. The project reduced overall passenger vehicle parking while improving trailer storage capacity and operational flexibility within the previously developed logistics campus.
