May Institute

Highpoint supported the May Institute with civil engineering, site planning, permitting and stormwater management services for the renovation and expansion of an existing building at 9 Oxford Road in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The project converts the existing approximately 11,000 square foot building to an educational use and includes a new approximately 5,700 square foot addition containing classrooms, gymnasium and cafeteria space.

The site design included targeted parking lot modifications to support student bus maneuvering and drop off operations, accessible pedestrian circulation, new landscape areas, utility upgrades and new fire service and sewer connections to Oxford Road. Highpoint also designed stormwater management improvements to address the increase in impervious area, including deep sump catch basins, drainage conveyance upgrades, a vegetated infiltration basin, grass swale, roof drainage collection and outlet control measures. The project received Mansfield Planning Board site plan approval following public hearing review and coordination with Town departments.
